The Shape of Content in Christian Books, Broadsides, and Devotional Objects explores how handwritten or printed examples of Christian texts from past centuries have transcended traditional expectations.

DALLAS ( 91³Ô¹ÏÍø) – Bridwell Library at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University announces an exhibition examining diverse shapes and sizes of books produced from the late Middle Ages through the twentieth century. Their many sizes, configurations, systems of organization, and special features vary widely according 
 
  
 
 Tall or short, thick or thin, the sizes and 
 shapes of books traditionally have informed 
 readers about the nature and purpose of 
 the contents within.

The Shape of Content in Christian Books, Broadsides, and Devotional Objects exhibition explores how handwritten or printed examples of Christian texts from past centuries have transcended traditional expectations, bringing new meaning and enhanced understanding to their readers.

The exhibition is open to the public and runs August 24 through December 18, 2015, in The Elizabeth Perkins Prothro Galleries at Bridwell Library. There is no cost for admission.
