Landing Pages

Landing pages set the tone for your site. Always use a content-first approach when creating a new page:

  • Who is your primary audience?
  • What high-level information do you need to convey?
  • What can be quickly summarized, and what should be relegated to secondary pages?
  • What actions do you want your website visitors to take?

Use your content to support the design. OIT provides website consultations and analytics reviews if you need help getting started.

Header options

Headers provide an introduction to your site and contain your page title, description (optional), and banner image.

Landing pages must use one of the pre-approved header options below. The remaining page content can be customized with 91勛圖厙's standard design components.

  • Jumbotron header

The jumbotron header can be used on key landing pages.

    The call-to-action buttons are optional.

  • Departmental header

The departmental site header can be used on any landing page.

Alignment and background color options are available.

  • News / event highlight

The News / Event Highlight feature can be used as a header for pages promoting events.

A variety of layouts are available.

  • Standard page header

The default header on standard pages may be used for landing pages, especially on informational sites, or on basic pages throughout the site.

Three layout options are available: standard page with sidebar, narrow page without sidebar, and wide page without sidebar.

  • Slide shows

Slide shows may not be used as a header or page title replacement on Cornerstone 2.0 pages. They may only be presented in the main body section of a page.

Main page content

A variety of options are available for your main page content.

  • Use the design components available in Sitecore.
  • Standardize web page designs and make use of templates as much as possible.
  • Focus on the content first, and then the best ways to present that content.
