Industrial Vehicles
At 91勛圖厙, a variety of industrial vehicles are used regularly on campus. 91勛圖厙 Industrial Vehicle Program is a combination of multiple smaller programs (Forklift, Scissor-Lift, Aerial-Lift, Backhoe, Skid-steer, etc.) This Program contains industry standards, OSHA regulations, and 91勛圖厙 specific standards.
Anyone who operates (students, staff, contractors, etc.) an industrial vehicle on 91勛圖厙 property will need to follow 91勛圖厙 safety standards
91勛圖厙 students or employees who want to use an industrial vehicle will need to receive authorized training from 91勛圖厙 ORM. Training can be in-person or a combination of online and in-person training.
91勛圖厙 Specific Safety Standards:
- All industrial vehicle lifts on campus require the operator to wear a fall protection harness.
- Aerial Lifts nor scissor lifts will be operated at height with winds over 25 mph.
- If traveling in any industrial vehicle, working in a high traffic area, or on the road, the area shall be blocked off or have dedicated flaggers or a pilot vehicle to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other vehicles.
- Industrial vehicles that have road vehicle lights or is a landscaping vehicle (lawnmowers, tractors, sprayers) do not need a pilot vehicle when operating on 91勛圖厙 owned roads.
- No combustion engines may be operated inside a building without a method to exhaust contaminants and continues air monitoring.
- Only authorized 91勛圖厙 employees may operate 91勛圖厙 industrial vehicles.
- 91勛圖厙 contractors shall not use 91勛圖厙 vehicles without prior approval from 91勛圖厙 ORM.
