PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS

A psychoeducational evaluation is designed to evaluate and diagnose learning and attention problems for children age five to adult. A psychological evaluation is designed to diagnose emotional or behavioral problems for individuals age five to adult. Some of the common concerns presenting to the Clinic include:

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Specific Learning Disorder (e.g., dyslexia)
Depression/Anxiety
Behavioral Difficulties
Psychological and Psychoeducational evaluations are comprehensive and include the use of standardized, nationally normed measures to assess behavioral, emotional, intellectual and academic factors influencing behavior.

CHILD AND ADULT THERAPY SERVICES

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Psychology Clinic provides individual psychotherapy services for children over the age of five, adolescents, and adults. Psychotherapy typically involves weekly 50-minute meetings with a clinician. The services provided may vary depending on your/your child’s needs and the particular problems experienced. Some common concerns of those presenting to the Clinic for therapy include:

Anxiety
Depression
School adjustment
Life transitions/adjustment issues
Grief/loss
Stress
Trauma
Child externalizing behavior problems

SERVICES NOT PROVIDED

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Psychology Clinic is not able to provide emergency services and we do not prescribe psychiatric medications. Individuals who are seeking treatment for a substance use disorder, have recently been released from the hospital, or who need access to emergency services are generally not appropriate for the training clinic. The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Psychology Clinic does not provide child custody evaluations or comprehensive evaluations for autism spectrum disorders.
