Doak Bishop founded the International Arbitration Practice Group at King & Spalding, and specializes in international arbitration.

Doak has served as Chairman of the Institute of Transnational Arbitration, as a Director of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), a member of the Board of Directors of the International Congress of Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), and as a member of both the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the Court of Arbitration of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

Doak has led or participated in numerous arbitrations under the auspices of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), AAA, the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (IACAC), UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitral Rules, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations.
