Maximize your future options by earning a Lyle Engineering master’s degree. 

  • Earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in less time than completing the degrees separately.
  • Start exploring this option in the spring of your sophomore year and apply before reaching 90 credit hours.
  • Begin taking graduate-level coursework that will be applied to both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees (up to 9 hours).

Beginning Fall 2023, the general student fee is $304 per term credit hour*, $3,624 maximum. Students paying the maximum general student fee of $3,624 are eligible to receive the Sports Pack. Students paying less than the maximum general student fee may receive the Sports Pack for an additional $90.

Graduate programs currently offered in Weekend Format include Manufacturing Management, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering.

Classes are typically held every other Friday, in the DFW area. Classes are completed in 5 sessions.

Cohorts start in the Fall, typically the first Friday in August.

A student may waive English Language Proficiency Requirements if the student received a bachelor's or master's from an English Language Institution located in: United States, Canada (except Quebec), United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, American Samoa, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Ghana, Grenada, Grand Cayman, Guyana, Jamaica, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Singapore, Trinidad/Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, U.S. Pacific Trust.

Applying through Global Education Institute
 
The longstanding strategic partnership between 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Lyle School of Engineering and the Global Education Institute (GEI) provides admission processing services for international students. These services include the following:
  • Pre-Master Program (PMP), which is available to all international students. As a matriculation pathway program, PMP offers international students intensive Academic English courses, as well as courses from 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Lyle. It accepts students based on existing admission standards. This program makes it possible for international students who do not currently have standardized test (e.g., TOEFL, GRE) scores to have the opportunity to demonstrate their academic abilities required to be successful at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Lyle.
  • Assistance to international students in direct admission applications. GEI’s qualified and knowledgeable staff is experienced in assisting students who need additional information on 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Lyle’s master’s degree programs.
  • Processing GEI student’s tuition payment. Tuition payment processing through GEI is free of charge, so the tuition amount remains the same as listed on 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Lyle’s website. This service provides great convenience for international students.
