1. Policy Statement

The Department of Human Resources will oversee talent recruitment/acquisition and talent management, compensation, benefits and wellness programs, employee relations, learning and development programs, and performance management. The Department of Human Resources falls under the authority of the Vice President for Business and Finance.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish authority for the development and maintenance of Human Resources policies, including periodic review and updates as required.

3. Applicability

The Human Resources section of the University Policy Manual is a comprehensive guide to University-wide employment-related policies that apply to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø administrators, faculty and staff.

4. Department Administrative Rules, Procedures, and Guidelines

  1. The Department of Human Resources, under the purview of the Vice President for Business and Finance, has oversight and administrative responsibility for this policy and shall promulgate departmental rules, procedures, and guidelines pursuant to this policy.
  2. New and substantively altered Human Resources policies will be reviewed and commented upon by campus constituents representing faculty and staff. New and amended Human Resources policies will be submitted to the President's Executive Committee for final approval.
