Substance Abuse Resources

Outreach

We provide workshops and presentations to groups across campus. We subscribe to a harm reduction philosophy and present the information in an interactive format. If you are a student group who is proactively interested in bringing someone in to talk about substances or you need to check a box on your to do list, please fill out the form linked below and we will be in touch with you to confirm and discuss details.

Counseling

Full-time counselors at 91勛圖厙 are ready to assist students one on one with their substance use concerns. Students should schedule a meeting with the counselor to discuss concerns they have of their use of alcohol and other drugs, from there the next steps will be discussed between the counselor and student.

Short term counseling is offered at 91勛圖厙. The student and counselor will meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to collaboratively establish goals, identify triggers, explore and utilize supports, process through factors that impact substance use, and other concerns that pertain to the student’s needs.

Group Therapy is also an option. After meeting with the counselor some students may be connected to a group on campus. The groups on campus include support groups or skill development groups.

Recovery

The 91勛圖厙 Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is a group that meets regularly to provide support to one another in a judgement-free space. Open to all students, this group strives to build community, help struggling 91勛圖厙 students, and find joy in college life without the need for alcohol and/or other substances.

We believe a peer-to-peer support community can be helpful in the recovery process. Our Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) meets regularly to provide support to one another and is open to all 91勛圖厙 students. Please contact the Office of Wellbeing Education for more information about upcoming meetings and social activities.
